Practically all photographers have a favorite genre--a subject they focus on and prefer photographing. Whereas that is as it should be, also shooting everything in sight is great as learning experiences.

I have a need for speed. As a result my own favorite genre is action. Having bred and trained Icelandic Horses for the better part of my life, they used to be my go to models. But nowadays, the rescue sisters my son adopted two years ago have replaced them as
I take care of the pups during the school year when my son teaches at USC downtown LA, so I have plenty of access to them. Being 50% Mini Snausers, they are very active and love nothing more than the beach.
